Aloha friends and Moana Readers. It’s Foto Friday!

A favorite short hike my family and I love to go on is up to Manoa Falls.

Hmmm…Manoa, Moana….very similar but different meanings. I believe Manoa means vast and wide while Moana is more the spirit of the ocean. (But don’t quote me on this. I’m definitely not a legit Hawaiian linguist.)

Anyway, this trail is well trod and not too difficult for littler ones. It definitely is muddy and you’ll need mosquito repellant to keep the bugs from eating you. Supposedly you can continue hiking past this point, up and around to the top of the falls but I’ve never done it.
