This post brought to you by Monte Carlo. All opinions are 100% mine.
Monte Carlo, starring Selena Gomez (one of the few young female celebrities I admire), is opening tomorrow on July 1st and I can’t wait! I will take my 15 year old and my 9 year old daughters to go see it because there are not many first-run movies we can see together anymore.
First of all, one of the reasons I want to take my daughters to see Monte Carlo is that we all like Selena Gomez. My daughters like her music and her show on Disney. I like that her music isn’t too suggestive and that she’s professional in terms of her celebrity image. (we’re not even jealous that she’s dating Justin Bieber.)
Secondly, the plot of the movie is sounds like a great rite-of-passage movie for girls and a great flick for moms and daughters to bond over. In Monte Carlo, Gomez plays a girl vacationing in Paris with her friend and her sister who gets mistaken for a British heiress. Along the way, all three girls learn more about themselves.
And finally I would love to watch Monte Carlo and visit the place vicariously–without ever having to speak French!
You can like the Monte Carlo page on Facebook to find out more about the movie.
Tickets went on sale at Fandango for Monte Carlo on June 29th and you can buy them in the comfort of your home without worrying that the movie will sell out before you get to the theater.
Take your daughter with you to see this one. In the meantime, here’s a clip to help you anticipate the movie!
